Hi All,

Just received the new Gregg Bissonette DVD. Thumbs UP !!

I think you'll like it. Best part for me is how he explains and breaks down the Tony Williams flam lick that VINNIE, NOVAK, S.SMITH, etc. all use.

I'm shedding it every day for muscle memory and practicing at all tempos to really be able to use it wherever, when applicable.

Are you talking about the blushda? Steve Holmes does a great job of breaking it down on this clip. http://www.houseofdrumming.com/hod_blushda.wmv

BTW You're only allowed one per gig or you will be arrested by the "taste police"!

I think that stands true for the "freightrain" lick and BBRRLRL lick too.

Yes, to answer you, Gregg did refer to it as 'blushda,' come to think of it.

Thanks TerryB...I'll check that out on the website.

To Joe's Mechanic: That lick looks interesting. What does 'b' stand for? (both?) as in flam?

    You guys are great!
